Dr. Paulo da Silva, Ph.D. holds Doctorate Degree from Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT), Nigata, Japan. Dr. Paulo graduated from University Technology of Sydney (UTS), Sydney, Australia with Master Degree in Planning and Energy Policy and holds Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Specializing in Energy Technology and General Mechanical. Dr. Paulo has more than 20 years of professional experience, in academic as well as International Development Agencies in the area related to Electricity and Energy Sector. Currently, Dr. Paulo is the President of Board of Directors & Executive Commission of EDTL, E.P. with four years mandate from 2021 to 2024. Previously, Dr. Paulo served as Lecturer for 16 years with the National University of Timor-Leste. He also worked in the area of renewable energy with Mercy Corps, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and Ministry of State Administration as Consultant for Solar Panels. In 2000, Dr. Paulo worked with the World Bank Program, Community Empowerment Project (CEP). Prior to that, in 1999 Dr. Paulo worked as Technical Officer with UNAMET and UNTAET.
