Marito Ferreira obtained his Doctorate in August 2021 in Electrical Engineering and his Master’s degree in February 2018 in the field of Electrical Engineering from Korea University of Technology and Education, Cheonan City, South Korea. He also completed his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Timor Lorosa’e in November 2013. Dr. Marito Ferreira currently holds the position of President of the Board of Directors of EDTL, E.P., a position to which he was appointed by the Council of Ministers through Government Resolution No. 56/2024, on October 4, 2024. In addition to serving as the President of the Board of Directors of EDTL, E.P., Dr. Marito Ferreira also provides technical advisory services in the field of electricity to His Excellency the Secretary of State for Electricity, Water, and Sanitation, a role he has held since July 2023. Before working in the Secretariat's Office (SEEAS), Dr. Marito Ferreira held the position of Branch Director at the company Electronic Life Technology, Co., Ltd (August 2021 – November 2022) and also worked as a National Researcher, focusing primarily on the interconnection between distribution systems, solar PV, and battery storage. Throughout his professional career, he has published scientific journals and conference papers at both the national and international levels, particularly in South Korea and Timor-Leste. He has also contributed to several scientific journals at the National University of Timor Lorosa’e, particularly in the Faculty of Engineering, Science, and Technology (HERA).
